New music from Scandinavia and Scotland across styles, cultures and frontiers.

Himmerland is a group of four traveling musicians, each carrying very different life stories and traditions in their bags. We come from different regions of Denmark , Sweden and Scotland.

Their debut album,”New Roots Music from Denmark”, was released in 2012. The album was nominated for a Danish Music Awards as Folk Album of the Year. Since then, the band has released two albums, “The Spider in the Fiddle” in 2015 and “Folktone from a global Corner” in 2019.
