Regin Dahl’s Swedish music
Fredrik Zetterström (baritone) and Aksel Remmel (piano) perform “Swedish” songs by Regin Dahl.
Regin Dahl (1918-2007) wrote around 50 melodies to poems by Swedish poets Erik Axel Karldfeldt and Gustav Fröding. In these Regin flourishes as a lied-composer where the arrangements for piano play an independent role. The melodies are very varied and travel between various styles including walz, march and tango.
Before the concert, Hugin Eide, will present the book of scores to these songs, which he has published.
The concert is a collaboration between The Nordic House, Salt, Mentanarhúsið í Fuglafirði, Edition H. Eide and Summartónar.
