Monika Stauss Joensen, violin, and organ player Andrea Stauss Hofmann are sisters and originally from Switzerland.
Monika has for many years lived in the Faroe Islands working as violin teacher at the music school, plays with Føroya Symfoniorkestur and is an active chamber musician. As a touring artist Monika has performed in several countries such as Italy, France and USA.
Her sister, Andrea lives in Switzerland, where she works as organist at several churches and active as a chamber musician.
Monika and Andrea began playing violin and piano six and seven years old. Already four years later they impressed at the “Yecklin competition” in chamber music in Zürich.
Each year they play at various venues in Switzerland.
