Ars Arctica brings the the warmth of baroque music and the cold of nordic culture together in a mixture of sound and landscape never experienced before. Rodrigo’s countertenor voice, resembling the extinct castrato, accompanied by Marcus’ theorbo and Stina’s cello, brings the old tunes back to life. At Summartónar 2023, the trio will premier music commissioned from Faroese composers, with inspiration in ancient nordic traditions.
